Josué Figueroa is co-founder of OneWellness. He has been in the athletic, fitness and wellness community for over 25 years. As a young athlete, Josué excelled in a variety of sports including track and field, boxing and basketball. His love for sports led him to pursue an education in wellness and his studies have earned him some of the highest certifications in the industry. Josué is a Certified Sports and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is also a certified fitness trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the American Council on Exercise (ACE). In addition, he became a flexibility technician focusing on Active Isolated stretching techniques.
In 2005, Josué completed his coursework and became recognized as a New York state licensed massage therapist (LMT), granted through the world-renowned Swedish Institute of NY. He has since become licensed in the state of California. His studies included a focus on both Western and Eastern modalities including Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, unwinding, Shiatsu and Thai.
Josué has worked with industry leaders on both coasts including New York Sports Clubs, Reebok Sports Club/NY, Pacific Athletic Club, Paul LaBreque Salon, Sen Spa, and Axis Performance Centers. His private clientele includes an impressive list of top executives and athletes. He was chosen to provide pre and post-game massage for the U.S. Open from 2005 to 2009 and received a commendation from the U.S. Tennis Association's senior trainer. Josué's unique skill set affords his clients the opportunity to work with a professional who has a diverse background in both fitness and body work. He shares his passion for movement and teaches body awareness along with the importance of integrating a variety of health & fitness modalities. Josué has a contagious love for life and works comfortably with all ages and fitness levels from the novice to the professional athlete.
Michele Bell is co-founder of OneWellness and brings a deep passion for providing health education, services and support to enhance the health and well-being of others. She has spent her career serving consumers of health in a variety of settings including health, fitness & wellness centers, clinical practices, hospitals and, in more recent years, health technology companies. In addition to her professional career, she has very personal experience navigating the complexity of healthcare. Given this wide range of personal and professional experience Michele has seen, first hand, the continuing challenges that most people face establishing, managing and maintaining their overall health.
Michele has been a certified Life Coach for 15 years with a concentration on wellness advising and behavior modification. She studied Sivananda Yoga and is a graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in NYC with a focus on whole food nutrition. This education awarded her recognition by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP). Michele speaks nationally and has written for Prevention.com, Nutrition Business Journal, Club Success and numerous other industry-specific publications.
Michele believes that the Six Pillars of Health can be applied to everyone and that going back to basics and addressing personal challenges are the keys to making healthy living a lifestyle. She offers non-judgmental support to find a balanced routine...and even a little bit of fun along the way! She is available for consultation to help schools and organizations build effective wellness programs that make a meaningful impact on their teams.
Geri Wohl is a certified Nutrition Consultant and Nutrition Educator with a bachelor’s degree in psychobiology from Wellesley College and nutrition certifications from Bauman College. Her early career revolved around cancer and immunology research and later switched her focus to pursue her passion in nutrition.
Geri advises private clients on nutrition related to overall well-being, weight loss, hormone regulation, inflammation and other conditions, using a holistic approach. She works closely with clients to attain the right balance of macro and micronutrients and takes into account personal challenges, lifestyle and dietary preferences.
By assessing clients individually, Geri is able to tailor unique dietary plans to optimize each person’s nutrition and have them feeling their very best.
Ranya Anabtawi is a certified and insured Yoga and Mindfulness teacher. A humble student of yoga for twenty-five years and a San Francisco Bay Area teacher for eleven, Ranya integrates her grounded, calm, gentle and often profound classes with her belief that students can benefit from a yoga practice not only for themselves but for the benefit of others. She is an advanced practitioner and her yoga background is extensive. Having studied modalities such as Restorative, Therapeutic, and Yin she draws from this knowledge to expertly create a custom sequence for her students.
She is truly grateful for the lineage of teachers she has studied with; Judith Hansen Lasater, Sarah and Ty Powers, Paul and Suzee Grilley, Harvey Deutch, and Thomas Fortel, to name a few.
Ranya teaches private clients, provides small group classes and offers corporate clients weekly sessions or large group classes for corporate off-sites and events. She also offers Reiki sessions for personal healing.
